This fall FAD Market takes up residence at City Point in Downtown Brooklyn in its newly opened event space, BKLYN STUDIOS. Over two weekends in September and October, FAD Market brings you a stunning lineup of over 50 independent designer makers showcasing unique handcrafted art, jewelry, apparel, bath and body care, tableware and home furnishings. An exciting lineup of interactive activities, artist collaborations and special guest partnerships!
In September, join us as we celebrate New York Textile Month with a special exhibition of 10 New York-based artists and a specially curated selection of textile and fabric makers. The Textile Arts Center presents interactive demonstrations of loom weaving, screen printing and machine knitting. Non-profit textile recycling company FABSCRAP brings a pop-up fabric shop and an education booth, and textile studio WE GATHER will host a Community Cloth Project where members of the public can collaborate in the creation of a zero-waste rug.
Come October, FAD Market and The Invisible Dog Art Center will co-present a stunning exhibition of the works of Brooklyn-based sculptor Abraham McNally. Children and the young at heart can look forward to a giant coloring wall installation by creative studio OMY and visitors can kick back in style at the FAD Market lounge space created in collaboration with west elm.
This event is free and open to all ages. Tickets are not required but please RSVP to let us know that you're coming.
